Community Outreach

PAS believes that community service is an integral part of the educational journey. The program is committed to providing meaningful experiences for students, faculty, their families and the greater PAS Community. Projects range from hands-on activities such as plantings, visiting old homes, serving at hospitals, etc. Projects are completed in a variety of settings and are tailored to the age group participating. Not only do students engage in classroom-based activities, but they also have the opportunity to be part of school-wide projects.

Counseling

The School Counselor works to assist and support students, families, and faculty members. The character education lessons are taught, addressing social and emotional needs. Lessons address topics such as friendship skills, conflict management, respecting all, and understanding feelings. In addition, individual and small group sessions are available to students on an as-needed basis.

Advisory activities include those aimed at promoting friendship, team-building, and diversity. Issues such as technology usage, drug awareness, intolerance, and respect for other communities are addressed through special programs during the year. In addition, Middle School students complete CPR and First Aid Training. The counselor is available to meet with students individually during their snack, lunch, and study hall periods.
